David McDonald - Chairperson of the Northern Ireland Advisory Group
Davd is also Co-Chairperson of the Regional Disabled People’s Health and Social Care Forum of the NI Department of Health. He has been an Independent Living Fund Recipient for over two decades. In addition, he has been a Direct Payment Recipient since its introduction to Northern Ireland, in which he played a significant part.
For 30 years, since his days with Rights Now NI, he has been instrumental in improving Deaf and disabled people’s lives, not least as a founding and continuing member of The Omnibus Partnership, a grassroots disabled people’s user-led organisation, the Centre for Independent Living NI, and the Northern Ireland Disabled People’s Parliament.
