BANG Meet & Greet - Galashiels
Join BANG (Borders Additional Needs Group) for a Meet & Greet with Lee from the Independent Living Fund Scotland.
Drop in for a tea or coffee and take the opportunity to chat with Family Liaison Worker, Shona, other ASN Parent Carers and the special guest speaker.
Lee will give an overview of the Transition Fund & Technology Grant and will offer support and guidance on how to apply.
ILF can support you to try new activities and experiences that will help a young person:
- become more engaged and active in your community
- enhance your independence and confidence
- help you to spend more time with other people
- TrySomethingNew
If you are unsure about what you could apply for, or if the Transition Fund is really for you? Read these awesome stories from previous recipients of the Transition Fund to give you an idea of who has applied and what they received funding for.
The focussed discussion will take place in a relaxed, informal environment with the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the ILF.
Teas & coffees will be available, and a catch up with parent carers and Shona after the session.
Anyone that is unable to attend but would like to ask a question – please send them to Shona in advance by emailing shona@bordersadditionalneeds.org.
Past meetings have included MP John Lamont, Contact, The Borders Carers Centre, SBC Children & Families Social Work, Shared Care Scotland, CAMHS, Inspiring Scotland, Enquire and Arc with an updated poster for each session sent round each month.
