Joe Eaglesham, who is 23 and has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), applied to the Transition Fund to #TrySomethingNew and gain a qualification in Tree Surgery.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Joe had to leave his previous office job to move back home, leaving him with a lot of uncertainty for when the lockdown was lifted and things started to return to normal.
Joe applied to the Transition Fund to pay for an arborist course and the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which would able him to begin working in the field after he had finished his course. This has helped Joe gain some relief about the kind of career he can pursue post Covid-19.
“To any other young people thinking of applying I think you should absolutely Try Something New!”
“I’ve had the ability to pursue a career I never thought would be possible, so I would like to thank ILF Scotland very much for that.”
Want to #TrySomethingNew like Joe? You too could benefit from the Transition Fund! It’s simple to apply (find out more about how to apply), just download the application form and tell us about your goal and how the Transition Fund can help you.
