PAs Eligible for Covid-19 Vaccine
If you employ a PA or use a self-employed PA they are eligible to receive the vaccine as part of the Scottish Governments’ commitment for social care workers to be prioritised for vaccination.
The Scottish Government has set up a Short Life Working Group to establish the points of access and the process for this to happen quickly and effectively. We expect to hear a decision by Tuesday 26th January and will update you then on what the process will be and how your PA can access the vaccine.
We have also attached a copy of the letter that has been published by the Scottish Government below, which contains more information.
Update – Friday 29th January 2021
The Scottish Government has published a letter with the contact details of each local NHS Health Board stating that PAs should directly contact their local NHS Health Board to book their vaccine and to get more information on the process. We have attached the letter below for more information, but you can also access the contact details for each NHS Health Board below.
If you experience problems with the contact details below, we suggest you contact your local social work number and someone there should be able to advise on local arrangements.
