Peter Scott OBE – ILF Scotland CEO
Peter has worked in the field of social care support and disability rights for over 30 years. He began his career as a Support Worker for people who have learning disabilities in the supported living charity Fair Deal, before moving to become a Support Worker in a day service for adults who have multiple disabilities and visual impairment, run by RNIB.
Peter subsequently progressed to become Manager of the service. In 2005 Peter moved to work for the learning disability service provider and campaigning charity, ENABLE Scotland. He was appointed Executive Director of Operations and Development in 2008, and in 2010 was appointed CEO.
In 2015 Peter brought his extensive experience and passion for independent living to ILF Scotland where he continues to lead the organisation in empowering disabled people to live independent and fulfilling lives. In 2018 Peter’s contribution to independent living was recognised with an OBE for his services to disabled people.
