This is a key and rewarding role within ILF Scotland, for qualified and registered Social Workers or Allied Health Professionals with experience of case work in a community-based setting, who is passionate about independent living and values-led practice.
You will work with a complex case load to plan, organise and undertake ILF award assessments and reviews, always keeping a clear focus on independent living outcomes. Working collaboratively, you will influence and engage with Health and Social Care Partnerships and Trusts, social workers, third sector organisations and care providers to ensure recipients experience real choice, independence and social inclusion.
You will work in close partnership with ILF recipients and their families or carers, navigating challenging and complex support arrangements and financial matters with sensitivity and professionalism. You will also play an important role in ensuring public funds are used appropriately and in line with ILF Scotland policy.
As an ambassador for ILF Scotland, you will promote our principles and values in everything you do and be confident in having constructive, sometimes challenging, conversations in a compassionate and respectful way.
