At ILF Scotland, we provide funding to help disabled people in Scotland and Northern Ireland live independently. We are looking to recruit a Modern Apprentice within our Digital Team who will play a pivotal role as IT Operations Support, working closely alongside the Service Delivery Lead and IT Support Officer to ensure the availability and day to day running and development of the infrastructure and support ILF Scotland staff in using it.
You will be part of a friendly, values-led organisation where attention to detail, great communication, and a willingness to go the extra mile are highly valued.
You will be first line support to troubleshoot ICT hardware and software problems accessing and using the SCOTS network, liaising with the iTECS to log, escalate and monitor open support calls. You will have responsibility to maintain and monitor ICT hardware; search for replacement hardware as required and provide quotes for the Digital and Information Service Team as well maintain and manage the device catalogue and support the IT Service Delivery Manager in prioritising replacement devices (phones, laptops, WIFI-dongles, printers, tablets).
You will assist with any staff training in ICT, information security and data protection and support colleagues in any set up for events, workshops and training sessions with opportunities to learn the business continuity requirements and response arrangements if the ICT infrastructure were to fail or be attacked and support the incident response team to resolve the incident and shadow the IT Security Manager to learn the safeguards and monitoring systems in place.
You will be self-motivated and computer literate with a good eye on accuracy of data alongside having a friendly and helpful attitude. You will be confident and flexible to manage your workload and associated studies and on completion, as well as the valuable work experience you will have gained with us, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
