Celebrating the International Day of Disabled People 2021!

Post Date: 30 November 2021

ILF Scotland is excited to be championing the United Nations International Day of Disabled People from 29th November – 6th December!

The International Day of Disabled People is celebrated every year on the 3rd of December. This year, the theme for the day, “Fighting For Rights in a Post-COVID Era”, should be used to recognise that disabled people are among the most affected populations amid the COVID pandemic.

ILF Scotland will be celebrating with a week-long campaign, sharing lots of stories and insights from recipients, focusing on the barriers they face and how this has impacted them during the pandemic. We aim to raise awareness of the importance of creating a future where disabled people experience equal opportunities and face no barriers in all aspects of their lives. See below for some of the campaign activities!
