ILF Scotland Stakeholder Group is looking to recruit new members!

Post Date: 5 December 2018

We aim to ensure that disabled people are at the heart of our decision making. One way of helping us to achieve this is through our ILF Scotland Stakeholder Group.  We are looking to recruit new members to this advisory group who are primarily disabled and are current recipients of ILF Scotland.

The main purpose of the Stakeholder Group is to support the improvement and development of ILF Scotland by advising the Scottish Government and the ILF Scotland Board and Senior Management Team on all matters relating to the operation of the fund, including: -

·         Experiences of using the existing fund;

·         Experiences of communicating and interacting with ILF Scotland;

·         Potential policy developments relating to the existing fund;

·         Content and accessibility of ILF Scotland publications, and;

·         Any other relevant matters.

We hope to recruit around seven new members. Members will normally be asked to stay on the group for two years.  Meetings are held quarterly.  The next meeting is on Tuesday 22 January 2019 at Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living at 12 noon.  You are welcome to attend this meeting as an observer if you think this would be helpful – just let me know.  Future venues can change to suit members.

We pay reasonable expenses to allow people to attend the meetings and are happy for family members / carers to attend with you, if needed.  Meetings normally last 2-3 hours and a light lunch is provided.

You can find information about ILF on our website http://ilf.scot where you can also view minutes of previous meetings.

If you are interested would you please contact Linda Scott by Monday 17tth December 2018.
