ILF Scotland has won the ‘Best Small Employer’ at the Working Families Best Practice Awards 2020. Now in their eleventh year, the awards showcase and celebrate employers who are offering flexibility for all their people and going above and beyond in their support for parents and carers. The awards recognise achievements in 9 categories across a range of work-life policies and practices.
ILF Scotland won the Best Small Employer Award for showcasing its exceptional approach to flexible and family-friendly working policies.
ILF Scotland’s Chief Operating Officer, Harvey Tilley, said:
“We at ILF Scotland are absolutely delighted to be included amongst the winners for the Working Families Awards 2020. It is incredible even to be a finalist alongside such exemplar organisations, let alone a winner and we are truly thankful.
ILF Scotland started its journey in 2015 to be a truly life friendly employer and the advice, guidance and support we have had from Working Families has been one of the key building blocks to our approach. This support has undoubtedly been critical in enabling us to pivot as an organisation to respond to the very real challenges of Covid 19, whilst carrying on delivering high quality support to disabled people in Scotland and Northern Ireland safely. Thank you all at Working Families for such an accolade.”
Jane van Zyl, Chief Executive of Working Families, said:
“Congratulations to ILF Scotland and to all the winners of this year’s Best Practice Awards. Now more than ever, it’s crucial that companies develop strategies and cultures that support flexible and family-friendly working—not only to support the people who need it most, but also to boost productivity, engagement, and resilience. The winners of these awards set a stellar example for businesses across the UK.”
