Independent Living Fund (ILF) Scotland Appoints New Head of Policy

Post Date: 31 August 2018

ILF Scotland are delighted to announce that, after a successful recruitment campaign with Aspen, a new Head of Policy has been appointed. ILF Scotland provides funding to over 3,000 disabled people in Scotland and Northern Ireland, enabling them to live independently in their homes and communities. The organisation’s new Head of Policy, Linda Scott, will be responsible for ensuring all of our policies and procedures reinforce our values, provide excellent service at all times, and deliver our vision to make independent living a reality for disabled people living in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Commenting on the appointment, ILF Scotland’s Chief Executive, Peter Scott OBE, said,

“We are thrilled to have recruited Linda as our new Head of Policy. She will be a great asset to the team, having a wealth of experience in the public sector policy arena. We know that her expertise will be vital in helping ensure the successful delivery of our organisational strategy and key objectives in the coming years.”

ILF Scotland will continue to ensure our recipients have choice and control over how and when they are supported in all aspects of their daily lives, as well as facilitating real participation and inclusion for individuals within their local communities. We will also continue to strive for disabled people to be at the heart of our decision making processes and our development.  We look forward to working with Linda in the exciting years ahead.
