Northern Ireland health and social care regulator seeks your views

The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) is the independent body responsible for monitoring and inspecting the availability and quality of health and social care services in Northern Ireland, and encouraging improvements in the quality of those services.

The body is currently seeking views on its Draft Strategic Plan 2022-27, through a 12 week public consultation. This opened on 25 August 2022 and closes on 17 November 2022.

Malachy Finnegan, from RQIA, says: “This consultation sets out to engage with all stakeholders on the core purpose of RQIA, our strategic objectives as regulator, and actions we plan to take to deliver on those objectives. As part of our consultation, this month [October 2022] we are holding a series of five online consultation events to hear your views on our proposals.”

The online events take place on

  • 18 October from 12.30 to 1.30 p.m.
  • 18 October from 6 to 7 p.m.
  • 24 October from 1 to 2 p.m.
  • 27 October from noon to 1 p.m.
  • 27 October from 6 to 7 p.m.
