As an ILF Scotland recipient, you will receive a review visit from one of our Assessors generally every two years, or if you contact us to inform us of a change in your circumstances.
COVID-19 visit process
We generally visit our recipients once every two years, but we have been unable to do this because of COVID-19 restrictions. We have now started to reschedule visits as restrictions are lifting. You can find more information in our COVID-19 section here.
Prior to the visit
The Specialist Caseworker team will send you a letter to advise you of your visit and that an ILF Scotland Assessor will contact you directly to organise a date and time for your visit. They will also send you forms that you will need to fill in with the Assessor when they come to do the visit.
When the Assessor contacts you to organise the date and time of your visit, they will discuss what will happen at the visit and what record keeping paperwork you will need to have ready for them.
The Assessor will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the visit at this point so please don’t hesitate to ask.
You can also call the ILF Scotland office during our opening hours and discuss any queries with a Specialist Caseworker.
During the visit
When the ILF Scotland Assessor comes to visit, they will evaluate what support you need and check how the ILF Scotland funds have been used. The Assessor can also answer any questions or queries that you may have.
After the visit
When the ILF Scotland Assessor has completed your visit, they will submit your paperwork along with their visit report to the Specialist Caseworker team, who will use this information to generate an offer and process a final award for you.
If you would like to see a copy of the final report, please ask the Assessor or the Specialist Caseworker and we will arrange to send this to you, or your Award Manager, if someone manages your award on your behalf.
