The charities Mind and Child Poverty Action Group have joined forces to produce a Mental Health and Benefits Handbook.

You access the new handbook online, for free. You can also order a printed version.

The authors say the publication is a "comprehensive guide to benefits for people living with mental health problems".

It provides:

  • practical advice and guidance for the different stages of benefit claims and health assessments
  • information on problems that might be encountered during the process

The authors say the online handbook will be updated regularly to reflect any changes and to make sure that users have the latest information.
