Re-Opening of ILF in Scotland – Have your say at a Co-Production Event

Post Date: 19 December 2023

Following on from the First Minister’s announcement of the re-opening of the Independent Living Fund (ILF) in Scotland in the next financial year, ILF Scotland has been working with disabled people, their representative organisations and other key stakeholders in co-producing the re-opening of the fund.

The announcement in the Programme for Government means that the Scottish Government will provide an initial £9 million in 2024-25 to enable up to 1,000 additional disabled people with the most complex needs to access the support they need and deserve to live independent lives.

ILF Scotland have established a Co-Production Working Group to help us in developing the processes and policies that will shape the re-opened fund. This Group will make recommendations on policies for re-opening to the Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport.

As part of the co-production process, we are organising a number of co-production events, in person and online, so that you can share your views and help shape the re-opened ILF.
