Anne Marie has substantial professional qualifications and has over 36 years of experience in social work. She worked in the voluntary sector in youth and community development projects before working in the local authority in community care. She held a range of senior posts with significant financial, governance, operational and strategic responsibilities demonstrating, in particular, effective skills in commissioning service redesign and the development of innovative practice. She is a keen advocate of self-directed support and led the largest of the three Scottish Government National Test Sites and was a member of the National Implementation Group. She brings to the Board her significant experience of social work delivery with skills in learning disability, policy, community engagement and of working in the context of health and social care integration. She has positive track record of managing change and of developing partnership working. Anne-Marie is a Non-Executive Director on Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board and sits on the Glasgow Integration Joint Board and is Chair of the East Renfrewshire Integration Joint Board.
