As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Finance is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, governance and assurance across ILF Scotland. The Director of Finance ensures the effective stewardship of public funds and supports organisational sustainability. You will deliver the financial insight needed to inform strategic decision-making and maximise ILF Scotland's impact for disabled people across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Acting as both Director of Finance and Company Secretary, you will be a trusted adviser to the Board, Chief Executive, Executive Team and key external stakeholders, including government officials and ministers. You will provide independent advice, assurance and constructive challenge whilst leading an award-winning finance function and contributing to the overall leadership of the organisation.
As a professionally qualified accountant (CA, CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent), you will bring significant executive-level experience leading finance functions within a complex and highly regulated environment, together with a strong understanding of the public sector and / or social care landscape.
You will have a strong track record of shaping financial strategy, driving organisational performance and maintaining robust financial control, risk and assurance frameworks. You will also bring a sound understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance, with experience of supporting Boards and Committees to ensure effective governance, accountability and value for money.
