Good News – Northern Ireland recipients to get 3% increase!

Post Date: 24 December 2018

We are delighted to announce that the Northern Ireland Department of Health has asked ILF Scotland to provide all Northern Ireland ILF recipients with a cost of living increase.

An increase of 3% will be applied to your existing net award and backdated to the 1st April 2018.

Your current care and support arrangements are not changed by this increase. The increase is an additional amount that can be spent on any Qualifying Support Service (QSS) that will support you with your independent living in accordance with ILF Scotland policies. You can find more information and examples of QSS on page 4 of the Your Responsibilities Guide here. As with your existing award, you are still required to retain proof of expenditure.

Your increase will take effect in early 2019 and will be backdated to 1st April 2018.

You do not have to do anything in order to receive this increase as we are assuming you would like these additional funds, but if you do not wish to receive this or if your circumstances have changed, please don’t hesitate to contact your Specialist Caseworker on 0300 200 2022 or by email on enquiries@ilf.scot. You can also find more information in our questions and answers section here.
