Hoax Phone Call Information

Post Date: 2 August 2019

It has come to our attention that our enquiries phone number is being used to make phone calls which could potentially lead to a scam. The phone calls claim to be from ILF Scotland and are requesting personal information.

We want to reassure all ILF Scotland recipients, family members and award managers that when we call you from our 0300 number to discuss personal matters or financial information, we will always identify ourselves. A call from us is likely to be from someone you already know who will always identify themselves personally and will know who your caseworker is. If the caller is not able to name your normal caseworker, please do not reveal any personal information and call us directly on 0300 200 2022.

If you have any concerns or would like to confirm that your phone call has been genuine, we suggest you hang up and call our main number. Alternatively, you can email us at enquiries@ilf.scot and one of our team will help you out.

We are working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue and hope to have this fixed soon, however if you do receive a phone call, voicemail or message which concerns you please get in touch with ourselves or Police Scotland.

Contact Police Scotland on 101 or make an anonymous report through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
