Independent Living Fund Scotland announced as one of the UK’s most family friendly employers!

Independent Living Fund (ILF) Scotland has been named as an employer leading the way in building a flexible, family friendly workplace in the UK and Scotland.


The top 30 list is compiled by work life balance charity Working Families. Employers answer in-depth questions and are scored on four key areas to build a comprehensive picture of their flexible and family friendly working environment.


ILF Scotland gained its place on the list of Top Employers for Working Families by showcasing its flexible approach to work. ILF Scotland allows any employee to work flexibly, no matter what their individual circumstances, to ensure a healthy work-life balance. Staff are also given the option of working from home whenever they need to.


The organisation has also established a number of family-friendly working policies, which includes time off for dependents, flexible working, flexitime and 26 weeks full pay for staff taking Shared Parental Leave or Maternity Leave. In addition, ILF Scotland has also introduced a policy for four weeks full pay for those taking Paternity Leave, as well as an attractive adoption policy, which was implemented within the first year of operation.
