In Control Scotland have recently announced the launch of their new toolkit for unpaid carers, the result of 16 months of collaborative learning, testing and development.
This resource has been co-produced with unpaid carers and those working in roles that support carers. Through a series of action learning sets, participants shared experiences, challenged assumptions, and worked together to develop practical approaches that reflect what matters most to carers.
The toolkit has been further strengthened through testing with local carer organisations, ensuring that the content is practical, relevant and grounded in real-world experience.
Robert White, Director of Independent Living at ILF Scotland, said: “This is a fantastic piece of work and one we’re very glad to see published. A lot of thought has gone into this toolkit and I know that it will be useful to our Recipients, staff and anyone who finds themselves in the role of unpaid carer.”
