Tell us your views about Coming Home

Post Date: 15 May 2026
A small wooden house with home written on it sits in the foreground. In green text it reads: Coming Home Engagement. Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 May, 2026. 2 pm to 3 pm. Online via Teams.

The Scottish Government recently announced that ILF Scotland would be involved in a new fund to help people live in their own communities.

Coming Home funding will see people who have learning disabilities and complex support needs benefit from £20 million of funding, which will provide tailored support close to home, family and friends.

We are working with the Scottish Government and other key partners to develop how this might look in practice. We would love to hear your views on how you think we can best support people to live independently.

We’re hosting two drop-in sessions:

  • Monday 25 May from 2 pm to 3 pm - aimed at professionals who work with people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Tuesday 26 May from 2 pm to 3 pm - aimed at people with learning disabilities and complex care needs, their families and carers.

Everyone is welcome – you don’t need to have ILF to join.

If you can only come to one session, please do so regardless of who that session is primarily aimed at.

These events will be held online through Teams and are free to attend.

To book your place, please visit the Coming Home page on Eventbrite.

Please let us know about any adjustments you need to be able to participate in these sessions.

If you have any questions, please email communications@ilf.scot.

We look forward to seeing you there.
