ILF Scotland reaches finals of Working Families Best Practice Awards 2023

Post Date: 19 May 2023

ILF Scotland has been named as a finalist in the Best for Flexible Working and Best Small Employer categories of the Working Families Best Practice Awards for 2023. The awards celebrate employers whose stand-out cultures and working practices are leading the way in flexible and employee-friendly workplaces.

Now in their fourteenth year, Working Families’ Best Practice Awards showcase and celebrate employers who are offering flexibility for all their people and going above and beyond in their support for parents and carers.

ILF Scotland’s Head of Business Services, Aileen McNiven, said: “We’re thrilled to have reached the finals for the Working Families Best Practice Awards for two such prestigious categories. We’ve always strived towards being a truly flexible and life-friendly employer and Working Families has supported us throughout our journey. To final in both the Best for Flexible Working and Best Small Employer categories shows that we’re a fantastic place to work where staff satisfaction means we’re better able to help the disabled people in Scotland and Northern Ireland we support.”

Jane van Zyl, Chief Executive of Working Families said:

"We are delighted with the exceptional standard of entries to our annual best practice awards, which represent a diverse range of industries and companies of all sectors and sizes. Our awards focus on flexible and family-friendly working, so it is truly inspiring to see so many organisations making a commitment to creating supportive and inclusive workplaces.

“The judges were particularly impressed by the creativity and passion displayed by our finalists for this year. We know that flexible working offers significant benefits for both organisations and families, so it is really reassuring to see that workplaces are continuing to innovate in this area. It is a privilege to be able to recognize and celebrate the achievements of so many outstanding organisations."

Employers from a diverse range of sectors from across the UK have competed to catch the judges’ attention in nine categories.

The winners will be announced at an awards event at Vintner’s Hall on 20 June 2023.

Ends.
