Transition Fund Changes FAQs

Changes to applications to the Transition Fund from 01/01/2024

How many times can I apply to the Transition Fund?

You can apply as many times as you need to be successful, for example, if you make an application that is not successful, then you can apply again.

From 1 January 2024 until the foreseeable future, once you have been successful in gaining a Transition Fund grant, you are not able to apply again.

I have had an IT device from the Technology Grant. Can I still apply for the Full Transition Fund Grant?

Yes, so long as you have not had a successful application to the Full Transition Fund Grant, you can apply for the Full Grant.

I have had a Young Person’s Planning Grant. Can I still apply for the Full Transition Fund Grant?

Yes, so long as you have not had a successful application to the Full Transition Fund Grant, you can apply for the Full Grant.

I applied to the fund and my application was successful. I still meet the eligibility criteria, can I make another application?

After 1 January 2024, if you have already had a full Transition Fund grant, unfortunately you will not be able to apply again.

I have had a full Transition Fund grant. Can I still apply for an IT device through the Technology Grant?

Provided we did not fund a similar IT device in your full Transition Fund grant, you can apply to the Technology Grant for a basic IT device.

I have received a full Transition Fund grant. Can I apply for a Young Person’s Planning Grant?

You can apply for a Young Person’s Planning Grant before submitting a full grant but if you have already received a full Transition Fund grant, you will not be able to make a further application so it would not therefore be appropriate for us to fund a Young Person’s Planning Grant.
